Montes Cabernet Sauvignon Alpha 2013

Montes Cabernet Sauvignon Alpha 2013

Sku: 130218

Tasting notes
It is a sophisticated elegant wine. Beautiful ruby red color, Intense cassis, strawberry flavors, with combined hints of black cherries and chocolate. Oak is not predominant but well combined and still present in the background in order to keep the fruit as a principal character of this wine. Solid and ripe tannins but with 2 years of aging already soft and friendly. An outstanding wine for bottle aging (5-10 years).

Wine maker notes
2013. Intense ruby-red color. The nose has layer upon layer of caramel, cinnamon and candy with hints of mint, but without any dominance of oak. A spicy, full-flavored wine, with good body, fruit and firm tannins and an engaging strong finish. Drink now or cellar for a few years.

Highly recommended with braised beef with french fries; beefsteak "a lo pobre" with sautéed onion, french fries, and fried egg, Valenciana paella, cannelloni, and lasagna.

Great complexity with bountiful cherry, plum, and citrus balanced with oak and spice. Great value for a wine of this caliber. First Chilean gem I've come across.
