The color is an intense ruby with violet reflections and offers plenty of black and red berry flavors showing a hint of the typical licorice.. Here the nose is completed with a touch of vanilla as a nice complement. The full bodied attack on the palate is round with finesse while the well-balanced acidity along with the matured tannins develop on the long finish.
|2010: 88 Points - Josh Raynolds, Steve Tanzer's International Wine Cellars: "Inky-violet. Musky aromas of dark berries, underbrush and pipe tobacco. Spicy cherry and dark berry flavors provide good palate coverage; very smooth, almost viscous in texture but there's good energy as well. Clings nicely on the finish, repeating the spice and tobacco notes. "
