Chateau du Trignon Roussanne 2011

Chateau du Trignon Roussanne 2011

Sku: P44070

Chateau du Trignon was bought by the Quiot family in 2006. Winemakers since 1748, the family also owns other properties including Domaine du Vieux Lazaret in Chateauneuf-du-Pape and Domaine Houchart in Cotes de Provence. The family actively participates in all aspects of winemaking and has significantly improved overall quality. The estate vineyards are located in Gigondas, Vacqueyras, Rasteau, Sablet and Beaumes de Venise. In 2008, the Quiot family added an additional 24 acres of vines in Vacqueyras and four acres in Beaumes de Venise, increasing their total holdings to 150 acres.

Tasting notes
The wine shows quintessential varietal aromas of stone fruit, spring florals, honey and beeswax which precede the riper and more exotic fruit flavors on the silky and complex finish.

Technical notes
Roussanne from 50 year old vines planted on the stony, alluvial terraces of the Cotes du Rhone. The fruit was picked early in the morning to preserve freshness and acidity and fermented at low temperatures in stainless steel vats.
