Grapes grow on 18 year old vines in Chile’s Colchagua Valley, between the Coastal Range and the Andes.

Tasting notes
Deep cherry red. ------------------------------------------ Ripe aromas of plum and cherry with a hint of vanilla. ------------------------------------------ Berry, spice and cocoa flavors fill the palate, leading to a soft and supple finish.

Grapes are hand-harvested the second week of April. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. After a 26-day maceration period, 100% of the Cabernet Sauvignon is aged for 12 months in French and American (50/50) oak barrels.

Vina MontGras, in Chile’s Colchagua Valley, was established in 1992 by brothers Hernan and Eduardo Gras, together with their partner Cristian Hartwig. The fruit of a mission to produce estate-grown wines of exceptional quality and originality, the MontGras estate today encompasses over 200 hectares planted to vine in the heart of Chile’s wine-producing region. Since the first harvest in the early 1990s, MontGras wines have earned over 200 medals and awards worldwide, garnering international critical acclaim. Santiago Margozzini is the estate’s chief winemaker, with renowned California winemaker Paul Hobbs serving as consultant.
