A sophisticated, dry style of brut, with appetizing toasty aromas, rich and mature fruit flavors, a melt-in-your-mouth effervescence and a lingering finish. Drink now through 2000. 33,000 cases made. –

Henriot is a medium-sized, family-run estate located in Reims. Based on the wines I tasted it looks like quality is on the rise.

There is great intensity to this finely crafted Champagne. It’s rich and toasty, with flavors of ripe gooseberries and, in this example, some good bottle age. Henriot, which also owns Bouchard Père et Fils in Burgundy, is obviously on a good streak at the moment. Score: 92. —Roger Voss, December 01, 2005.
