Telmo Rodriguez is considered one of Spain's most talented and prolific winemakers. He champions the revival of forgotten varietals and underappreciated sub-appellations with superior terroir. All of his wines are organic and the emphasis is on authenticity and quality. Telmo is also a remarkably democratic winemaker who is equally proud of his rare and limited bottling as he is of his portfolio of everyday wines.

Tasting notes

Pronounced notes of blue and black fruits, spice box, and hints of smoke. The juicy tannins of this medium-bodied wine are balanced by a streak of minerality that brings it all back into focus.

Technical notes

(90%Tempranillo/7% Garnacha/3% Graciano) Sourced from a biodynamically farmed vineyard located in Rioja Alavesa. The flat, stony and shallow soils offer low fertility and low water retention capacity, forcing the bush-trained vines to struggle, which naturally ensures low yields. The fruit was handpicked and fermented in cement tanks after which it matured for 14 months in French oak foudres and new barrels.
