Medium bright red with a palish rim. Lively aromas of redcurrant, rose petal and minerals. Graceful and silky, with a restrained sweetness and lovely energy and definition to its red fruit and floral flavors. Juicy and light on its feet, finishing with firm tannins and a perfumed note of blood orange.

Review:
As Podere Salicutti is situated at the top of a natural amphitheatre in the hills near Montalcino, Italy,(the heart of Tuscany), you can imagine what its potential is. The estate is small apparently and covered with olive trees and natural forest. For years, Salicutti has been a certified organic producer, using simple techniques of mulching and composting. It has primary and earthy flavors such as leather, cherry, and allspice. Acidic levels are balanced as are tannins adding up to a fine finish in the mouth. I would pair this wine with a seasoned lamb or roast.
