Russiz Superiore is the pride of the Marco Felluga family. The family’s winegrowing dynasty started in the late 1800s, when the current Marco Felluga’s grandfather Marco recognized the terrain’s potential for cultivating grapes. Russiz Superiore is located in Capriva del Friuli, in the heart of Collio. Its name comes from its position that rises above the surrounding hills. The estate extends over 250 acres of which 125 acres are planted to vineyards. The vineyards are located in 4 different villages in the Collio DOC – Farra, San Floriano, Oslavia and Cormons. Each hill has a unique microclimate and the soil is rich in marl, loam and sandstone called flysch. The fruit is all handpicked. The property is managed by Alessandra and Roberto Felluga, children of the Marco Felluga. The winemaker is Rafaella Bruno.
