Gewurztraminer, the height of quality, is the most famous of all the wines produced in Alsace. The Vosges foothills are well-suited to this early-ripening grape.
This Gewurztraminer has a deep, sustained color which can turn golden yellow after a few years of aging, becoming a true connoisseur’s wine with great class and distinction, full-bodied and well-structured with a typically subtle and elegant bouquet. It is very expressive, ages well, retaining its typicity and floral aroma.
A rich and exuberant aromatic palette characterizes Gewurztraminer. The bouquet is intense and complex, offering an explosion of exotic fruits (lychee, passion fruit, pineapple, mango), flowers (notably rose), citrus (orange peel) and spices (gingerbread, peppermint, cloves and pepper). Frequent aromas of honey and ripe fruits also contribute to giving these wines an incomparably rich nose.
