100% Pansa Blanca (Xarel-lo), certified organic. Nose: Floral (sweet asylum), white fruit (pear, green apple) and herbaceous (fennel) aromas with a subtle background of green almond. Palate: Light and refreshing on the palate with electric and pleasant bubbles. Floral, white fruit and green almonds notes, recalling the perceived aromas. The 19th century Can Genis estate was established in 1991 and, as the closest winery to Barcelona, it’s just a short drive from the city center.
Run by the Pujol-Busquets Guillen family, the winery is a stone’s throw away from the Mediterranean Sea and is nestled within the Serralada de Marina National Park. The family have both the Alta Alella brand of wines and cavas and the Celler de les Aus for their natural lineup.
Within this latter sub brand, we find low-intervention bottlings with no added sulfites. Each wine within this collection is named for a bird found within the park and is featured on the wine’s label.
