Chateau Peyrabon - Haut Medoc Cru Bourgeois 2016 750ml

With its high proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine has a good structure and ripe, generous black-currant flavors. Its fresh character gives juiciness that contrasts with the rich fruits. It's a wine with tannins and aging potential. Drink from 2023. 
 

Very well judged, this has juicy red cherry fruits, with those ripped Médoc tannins on full display without being at all drying. I really like this, as it has charm, restraint and lift to its signature cassis, cigar and cold ash character. Hard to dislike.
