The grapes are carefully dried for three and a half months before fermentation, and the wine is aged for 12 months in small barrels and another 24 months is large tonneau. The resulting wine is a beautiful richly expressive Amarone, with gorgeous dark berry fruit flavors, sweet spice and voluptuous textures. The layers of complexity unfold in the mouth with notes of dark chocolate, licorice and exotic leather. Decadent and delicious!

Rizzardi are masters of Amarone, and the '3 Crus' a blend of grapes from 3 top vineyards, is rightly regarded as one of the finest around. A rare example of Amarone with finesse and complexity to offset the power, richness and intensity. This is like having a kirsch liqueur chocolate, an espresso coffee and a glass of vintage port at the same time - whilst in front of a log fire.
