Gulfi Carjcanti DOC Sicilia Carricante 2020 Organic 750ml

Sweet almond paste, young peaches, hints of flint and smoke waft up from this wine. Its’ soft texture soothes as a savory display of herbal-tinged orchard fruits and salty minerals wash across the palate. There’s a lovely cut of acidity as this finished with youthful tension revealing hints of hazelnuts and inner florals. Winemaker Description. 

Eric Guido writes:  Sweet white flowers, crushed raw almonds and smoke waft up from the 2020 Carjcanti. It's round and soothing on the palate, with a measured inner sweetness balanced by vibrant acidity. Ripe orchard fruits and melon tones settle upon the senses. The 2020 leaves a mineral staining while finishing with admirable length. A crisp green apple hint gradually fades. This is a lovely Carricante from the southeastern reaches of Sicily.  Drinking 2023 - 2027.  - Vinous 92
