Jeb Dunnuck writes:  I loved the 2020 Vacqueyras Doucinello, which should be a smoking value. Based on 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah, and the rest Mourvèdre, Carignan, and Cinsault, its vivid ruby/purple hue is followed by a sappy, floral bouquet the includes both red and black fruits as well as notes of rose petal, garrigue, and basil leaves. Silky, medium-bodied, wonderfully balanced, and already drinking great, it will evolve nicely through 2030.  - Jeb Dunnuck 92

Nicolas Greinacher writes:  The 2020 Vacqueyras Cuvee Doucinello bursts with raspberry, red cherry, black plum and licorice notes. Earthy and minty undertones further flesh out the aromatic profile. Coming in at 13.9% alcohol, this medium-bodied and delicious 2020 red delivers a seamless mouthfeel with a good drive on the savory finish.  Drinking 2023 -2029  - Vinous 91

Matt Walls writes:  Fine, precise, spicy berries and violets. Medium-bodied, fresh and lively. Finishes dry, with fine tannins and a little bit of dried Provençal herbs. Delightful. 20% whole bunch.  Drinking 2022 - 2027  - Decanter 93

James Suckling writes: The attractive nose of violets and blackberries pulls you into this rich and well-balanced Vacqueyras that has a slew of soft tannins supporting the full body. Long, supple and moderately dry finish with some finesse. Drink or hold.  - James Suckling 91

Vacqueyras, the village whose apt name translates as “Valley of the Stones” from the local dialect, celebrated its thirtieth anniversary as an official cru of the Rhône in 2020. Coincidentally, at Sang des Cailloux, Serge Férigoule also celebrated his thirtieth anniversary of taking over the estate, where he was an employee for many years, before his boss called it quits and handed him the keys. Pioneers in the methods of organics, soon followed by biodynamics, the Férigoules have honed a unique style of Vacqueyras that mixes deep, dark color with a lightness of touch, rusticity with warmth, and minerality with delicious fresh fruit.
