Tamlyn Currin of Jancis Robinson 16.5/20 Points | Creamy, smooth, blood orange and white strawberries. A touch of vanilla. Cherry blossom and satsuma. Orange zest. A light press of savoury mid-palate weight. More serious than their other rosés but fresh and vibrant with a distinctly Provençal profile. You could, of course, drink this now. But I think it would benefit from another six to 12 months in bottle.  - Jancis Robinson 16.5+

Winemaker Notes:

A micro production rose, Jancis Robinson calls “The real aristocrat of Languedoc rose emerged as Domaine Montrose”.  1701 is a single cuvée made from a rare blend of Grenache grown on volcanic soil and Roussanne planted in the middle of the Mediterranean garrigue or wilderness.

Explosive cranberry, strawberry, and watermelon fruit on the nose and palate, with firm acidity and a dose of minerality. Silky richness in the mouth, with good complexity and extended length on the palate.

A great sipper, this works well as an aperitif or with light fare.
