Chateau Latour Pauillac 1953 750ml

The 1953 vintage in Bordeaux was outstanding and after a mild Spring a long hot summer helped producers make excellent wines. The rains in mid September delayed the harvest and harvesting began on the 28th September.

Wine Spectator 90 points Unusually elegant, even delicate, for Latour, but beautiful nonetheless, with supple, refined flavors of sweet cherries, raisins, tobacco, spices and minerals. A favorite among the tasters. --Latour vertical. –TM
