Black plum fruit marries seamlessly with earthy, slightly animal
back notes. The medium bodied palate is fresh with
a pleasant peppery backdrop, finely etched medium tannins, and
a lovely dusty potpourri finish. Great wine for lamb stew, grilled beef, or
strongly herbed sausages.
- Rand Sieger, 67 Wine Buyer

A brilliant melange of black cherries, blackberries and cassis with ascending, graphite-like minerality and only the faintest touch of horse saddle.

The varieties are hand harvested, fermented and vinified separately, using only native yeasts. The finished wine is bottled without any added SO2.

La Closerie des Moussis is located in Arsac, in the Haut-Médoc region of Bordeaux. It has been owned by Laurence Alias(oenologist) and Pascale Choime (agricultural engineer specialised in ecology and sustainable development) since 2009. The Clos des Moussis vineyard has only 1 hectare of vines on the Sénéjac plateau, made up of gravelly sands and the vines are between 30 and 40 years old. Since 2015, they have also owned 20 acres in the Margaux appellation. The entire vineyard has been certified in biodynamic agriculturesince the 2015 vintage. The two women also have a trading activity: they buy organic grapes from a friend winemaker to produce certain cuvées, including Virevolte. Winemaker Description.
