Medium-bodied, bright and lively, with powdery tannins and a tightly knit core, don't underestimate this bottling: it will really reward some patience, and especially so this year. Burghound  | Outstanding Top value - A peppery and earthy nose features mostly ripe red berry scents. The nicely textured and delicious middle weight flavors possess unusually good depth and persistence in the context of what is typical for the genre. Worth considering.

Decanter 93 Points |  Wonderfully fresh and bright aromas also display plenty of pepper and earth nuances plus a floral top note to the slightly darker fruit aromas. There is a sightly finer mouthfeel to the denser medium-bodied flavors that possess excellent punch on the youthfully austere, complex and lingering finale. You're not likely to find a better example of PTG and note that my suggested drinking window considers the large format bottling. — Allan Meadows

A deeply lovely fruit character, with plenty of forward red berry fruit nicely dressed with floral notes and a silky, fine texture which is set off by a lively and refreshing acidity. A perennial favourite and exceptional indeed. This is produced from a blend of half Pinot Noir and half Gamay, both from 95-year-old biodynamically worked vines. The grapes are destemmed and fermented on native yeasts prior to ageing over two winters in cask.  Drinking 2022 -2030 —  Charles Curtis MW

Vinous 92 points The as yet untitled other cuvée of the 2020 Bourgogne Passetoutgrain comes vines that are 92-year old. The nose clearly has more intensity and energy, whilst the palate is very intense with zesty red fruit and a slightly chalky finish. I was surprised by the tangible difference between this and the regular cuvée. Excellent.  Drinking 2022 -2026
